Meet Me – Hi I’m Ryan

My story isn’t just about building a platform—it’s about surviving something that should have ended everything.

At 15 years old, I suffered a traumatic brain injury so severe that doctors prepared my family for the worst. My vital signs were weak. I was unresponsive. The outlook wasn’t just uncertain—it was grim.

But I didn’t give up.

From the very beginning, my fight became something bigger than just medicine. My family showed up—every hour, every day. I was never alone. Not once. That constant presence, that belief, that refusal to accept the outcome they were given… it became the foundation of everything that followed.

“He had vital signs… and that was enough. We were on our way.

The Turning Point

I spent weeks in a coma. No response. No movement. No indication of awareness.

Then something small happened.

Eye contact.

It lasted maybe a minute—but it changed everything.

From there, progress came inch by inch:

  • A blink on command

  • A smile

  • A laugh

  • My first words

Each moment was a breakthrough that shouldn’t have happened as quickly as it did—or at all. And behind every one of those moments was persistence, family, and an environment built on belief instead of limitation.

More Than Recovery

I didn’t just come back physically—I came back with a new perspective.

During my recovery, I experienced something that deeply shaped my life. In a moment of complete darkness, I called out for help—and what I experienced next changed me permanently. I came back not just focused on recovery, but on purpose.

That purpose became clear: Help people. Share knowledge. Build something meaningful.

Why TBI Talk Exists

TBI Talk wasn’t created as a brand—it was created as a response.

I saw firsthand how confusing, overwhelming, and isolating recovery can be—not just for the person going through it, but for everyone around them. There wasn’t one place to:

  • Learn from real experiences

  • Share solutions

  • Stay encouraged when progress slows down

  • Feel understood

So I built it. It’s a place where people can share ideas, solve problems, and give a voice to those going through it.

What I Am Building Now

Today, I combine everything I’ve been through with what I’m building.

I create:

  • Content that explains things clearly and honestly

  • Tools and apps that actually solve real problems

  • Platforms designed to make information easier to access and use

My work isn’t theoretical—it’s practical, grounded, and constantly evolving.

The Mission

My mission is simple: Take what feels complicated, overwhelming, or impossible—and make it understandable, usable, and real.

Because I’ve lived the alternative. And I know what it takes to come back from it.
